When you start your Christmas list, I’m sure there are so many women in your life that you need to buy for….Mom, Sister, Best friends, Coworkers, Women who help you out (babysitters/housekeepers), and then there are other women you may just want to bless! I’ve created a quick and easy to navigate list to help you purchase gifts online!
As a single mom, I know that the most important gift for me, would be the gift of time. For someone to offer to watch my daughter for a few hours, cook me a homemade meal, or do a one time clean of my house, would be the things that I would love the most! Not everyone can bless others with the gift of time, so here are other gifts to treat those women, or help them with day to day tasks!!
Your Mother or Mother in Love
Probably the hardest people to buy for….you always want to get the perfect gift. Hopefully, you know your mother well enough to know what she likes and doesn’t like, but if you’re stuck, here are some great options.
- Silky Pjs- My mom loves these. They are such an upgrade from an oversized t-shirt and shorts. She can walk around the house on Christmas morning feeling great!
- Personalized Mom Necklace- If she has grandkids, she’ll love this! Who wouldn’t want all of their grandkids names on a beautiful piece of jewelry?
- Jessica Simpson Faux Fur Slippers- Luxurious, soft, and super comfy! They’ll go great with her silky pjs and keep her feet warm!
- Echo Show 5- Help her stay connected to all of her loved ones! She can do video calling to anyone regardless of what type of phone she has!
Your Sister/Best Friends
I hope you know them well enough to know what they’d love, but when in doubt, buy something YOU’D love, and guaranteed they’ll love it as well. I love shopping for my sister, it’s always my favorite gift to buy!
- Gourmet Chocolates-Now, I would always prefer to “shop small” in this category. Times being what they are, you may not have a chance to get to that little boutique you’ve always shopped at. If you have the opportunity to shop small, I highly encourage that, but if you are strictly online shopping, here’s a great brand!
- Mommy’s Sippy Cup-While she’s handing out a sippy cup to all her kids, let’s not forget about her!
- Bath Bomb Collection-Her limited time alone should be indulgent! Let her turn her bath time into spa time!
- A fun/sexy calendar- You can support a great cause, and have some fun while you’re at it…..and who doesn’t love really cute dogs??!
Your Co-Workers
Depending on how big the group of women you work with is, you may choose to do a gift exchange, “secret santa” or nothing at all. I know for me, cost is always a concern. It’s nice to be remembered during the holiday season, especially if you work closely with others.
- A funny and cute coffee mug- So she can start her day with a smile.
- Tricks to appear smart in meetings- For the girls your work with who have a great sense of humor! A desk calendar to make her laugh every day!
- A new and fashionable lunch tote- So she can break with you in style!
- A sweet and sentimental necklace- For the coworker that has truly become a close friend of yours. Let her know how important she is!
Women who help you out
Women who make your life easier, Childcare workers, teachers, housekeepers, pet sitters…..these people are golden. The rule I always follow with them is the better you treat your tribe, the better they will treat you! So, don’t forget them this season, and make sure they know you appreciate them!
- A really sweet card with a necklace- Any teacher/caregiver would love this as its personal, and stylish. You could also add cash or a gift card if you’d like.
- A simple keychain- This is a less expensive option, great for someone you’d like to get something small. They will still feel appreciated!
- Plant- Great option for someone you don’t know well, but want to still say thank you too!
- Starbucks gift card-For those who work hard and never seem to stop, how about a great pick me up? Coffee never failed anyone!
A Single Mom, or Mom you’d like to Bless
This is probably one of the greatest gifts you could buy. After my divorce, I was blessed with a few gift cards, a few sessions of yard care, and people wanting to help me out. It really meant a lot to me, helped me out, and definitely was a great testament of the love of Christ! So, if you feel led, step up and help out someone who could use it this year!!
- Instapot- Help her get a healthy and quick dinner on the table! This is probably an item she wouldn’t buy for herself, but would love!
- The three of us- A book about being a single mom, so she won’t feel alone! It can be very isolating at times, and to know others are on the same path as you can be very comforting!
- Amazon Gift Card-I mean, why not? Literally a gift card to anywhere she shops (food, gas, clothes, spa) would be super appreciated.
- Breakfast sandwich maker- Help her get the kids out the door in the mornings with food in their hands! Better than fast food, and quicker than a sit down meal!
I hope you are having a great Holiday season, and that you are able to bless those around you this year! It has been a hard year for everyone, but don’t forget that simple acts of kindness are the easiest and quickest way to show God’s love to those around you! God Bless and Merry Christmas!
