Christmas is SO close! I can’t believe that we are finally coming to the end of 2020. Are you ready? If you’re like me, you probably haven’t even started! That’s OK! I’ve got you covered. I spent the day today searching out the BEST Christmas gifts and broke them down by age category for you! Just simply read on to find out what I’ve chosen this year!!
Babies newborn-1 year old
Babies of this age probably don’t need much, as most parents have had a baby shower, and the baby might have a birthday coming up soon as well. With this age group, I usually ask if they need anything first before going on a toy hunt. I’d much rather get diapers or books, if that what the parent would prefer! Here are my finds for this age group:
- Vtech Sit to Stand Walker: Every kiddo I know has had one, loved it and gotten a ton of use out of it! My daughter would literally push hers around the house and “run” as fast as she could! Makes a great learning gift!
- I love you Forever book-Have you ever read this book? Be prepared to cry! It will bring out ALL the feels and is a gift that all moms will treasure. My copy was handed down to me from my mom.
- Hello Bello Diaper Box-Premium Baby products at Non-Premium prices. These are great diapers.
- Lil Llam Teething Toy-Super cute and food grade Silicone. Who wouldn’t love a little llama??!
Toddlers Ages 2-4
- Mega Blocks-My daughter plays with these almost every day and has for years!! They bring so much joy as a kid can build just about anything their mind can think of.
- EHome Toddler Musical Instruments-Let your little one play, create, imagine, and make beautiful music!!
- Indoor/Outdoor slide-We literally used this all year around. It lived everywhere from the the play room, to the garage, to the deck! So many hours of play!!
- The Wonkey Donkey-I dare you to read this without laughing!! It’s so funny. I actually have a post of myself reading it outloud you could share with your kiddos if you’d like! Just head on over to my Insta.
Kids ages 5-7
Kids this age are starting to gain more independence and I love getting kids items “outside the box” I enjoy science activities, sporting equipment if they are on a team, or projects they can do in their free time!
- Baseball glove/ball/bat-If the kid you are buying for is into sports, help out a parent by buying some equipment! Even if they aren’t on a team yet, help encourage family play time.
- Jumbo Slime-I know….some parents are REALLY against it. But, it does provide hours of fun for some kids.
- Lego City-What’s great about Lego City, is each piece has a purpose in the city (Firetruck, garbage truck, airport). You could buy pieces over time, or go in with a few other relatives and help him build his city! And, this is a great toy that grows with the kid.
- Planetarium Projector-What kid doesn’t love space? Now, she can have a planetarium in her bedroom! What a great conversation starter about space, stars, and planets.
Kids ages 9-11
Probably the hardest age group to buy for, as they aren’t teenagers, but think they are big. Anything that starts to foster independence, family activites, crafts, or even fashion is a big hit with this age group!
- 3d Coloring Puzzle set-This is the best of both worlds. They can color their own pieces, then spend hours putting the puzzles together.
- Razor kick scooter-Be sure to check with parents first, but I think this is a great age to introduce this awesome scooter!
- Crossbody purse-What little girl doesn’t want to have a great place to put her chapstick and sunglasses? This purse is super cute and she’ll love it!
- Lego Gadgets-This toy is just plain cool. Building robotics and learning basic mechanics is a given with this toy.
Teenagers
Oh teenagers! Impossible to buy for!! Hopefully, with some of these ideas, they won’t get bored in 5 seconds, and actually use the gift you gave them!
- A Bluetooth beanie-This is so cool. It keeps their ears warm and they can connect it to their phone to play music.
- Cravebox-Um, who doesn’t love a huge box of snacks?? (I know I’m not the only one raising my hand here). Completely unnecessary, but totally fun.
- Hookey-Ok, I admit, I wasn’t sure what this was at first, but it is SO MUCH FUN. Great for game night with their family or friends.
- Lighted vanity makeup mirror-Any high-fashion girl in your life would love this. Help her to feel like a princess and achieve a flawless makeup look for any event in her life!
Sensory Toys
We all know someone who may need something a little more out of the box, and I included those here. Trust me, if you know a parent with a kid that needs sensory consideration, one of these gifts would be greatly appreciated!!!
- Spike the fine motor hedgehog-He’s super cute, and helps with fine motor coordination, sorting, and counting.
- Weighted blanket-Sometimes things can seem really overwhelming, and the extra weight from this blanket can help a child feel safe and secure.
- Liquid Motion Bubbler-For some kids, simply have something stimulating to look at is really important for their development. This is sort of like a lava lamp, and really helps engage their minds.
- Press and Stay Sensory Blocks-Bold colors, great textures, and can stack up/down or side/side. Great alternative to smooth blocks.
Don’t forget Mama!!
If you know a mama in your life (or ARE a mama) and struggle with what to get her (or ask for), here’s a quick list! Really, all she wants is something to make her life easier, or a treat. I have a whole other blog post dedicated to gifting moms, but here’s a quick list if you’re in a pinch!
- Electric blanket-If she’s anything like me, her feet are ALWAYS cold. This is great to cover up with while she reads or watches TV.
- Shower Steamers-If she has to shower, why not make it luxurious? These diffuse while she showers, creating a spa like experience.
- Neck massage pillow-She can relieve her tension while sitting under her electric blanket while binge-watching Dawson’s Creek on Netflix…..uh, is it Christmas yet?
- Prayer Journal-ALL moms need Jesus to get through the day. And how great would it be to be able to look back a year from now and see all he has done for her!!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my quick list of the Best Christmas items for All Ages. Hopefully, you can get most of your Christmas shopping done from the comfort of your home!! Merry Christmas my friends!!
